Twilight Golf in Belek: The Best Kept Secret for Summer Rounds

Full 18 holes, lower price, cooler air, and a finish line that runs into the sunset. Here is how Twilight tee times actually work in Belek — and why a lot of regular visitors never play any other way in summer.

Most golfers we speak to assume Twilight is a discounted half-round — nine holes squeezed in before dark. It is not. Twilight in Belek is a full 18-hole tee time, with a real green fee, on the same course you would play in the morning. The difference is the start: it is timed so that you finish at dusk rather than at midday.

The name is about your finishing time, not your starting time. You begin in daylight, and the last few holes play out as the sun goes down. Done at the right pace it is one of the most enjoyable rounds you will play all year. Done at a relaxed pace, the final holes will catch the last light — which is why these slots are also priced more accessibly than morning tee times.

Twilight vs. 9-hole — not the same thing

This confusion costs people money every week, so it is worth being explicit.

Twilight tee time

  • Full 18-hole round
  • Starts mid-to-late afternoon
  • Finishes around dusk
  • Single shared start window per session
  • Available at Sueno Dunes & Sueno Pines (and on selected dates at Carya, Cullinan)

9-hole tee time

  • Half round — 9 holes only
  • Available throughout the day
  • Priced at roughly 70–85% of the 18-hole rate
  • Available at Cullinan Aspendos, Cullinan Olympos, Montgomerie
  • Useful for late arrivals or warm-up rounds

If you want a short round, book 9-hole. If you want a full round at a lower price and a more relaxed pace, book Twilight.

When does Twilight actually start?

Twilight start times move with the sunset, so they shift month by month. Here are the actual published windows for Sueno Dunes and Sueno Pines — the two courses that run Twilight as a year-round programme. Each session has three start times, ten minutes apart, with a maximum of four golfers per start.

Month Twilight start window Approx. finish
January14:27 – 14:45Dusk (around 18:30)
February14:54 – 15:12Dusk (around 19:00)
March15:30 – 15:48Dusk (around 19:45)
April15:57 – 16:15Dusk (around 20:15)
May16:06 – 16:24Dusk (around 20:45)
June16:24 – 16:42Dusk (around 21:00)
July16:24 – 16:42Dusk (around 21:00)
August16:24 – 16:42Dusk (around 20:45)
September15:21 – 15:39Dusk (around 20:00)
October14:36 – 14:54Dusk (around 19:00)
November14:09 – 14:27Dusk (around 18:00)
December14:00 – 14:18Dusk (around 17:30)
Reading these times: Pines and Dunes share a sunset, so start windows are nearly identical. Faster groups will easily clear all 18 holes inside the daylight window. Slower groups should expect the final 2–3 holes to play out in declining light.

Why Twilight makes the most sense in summer

Belek summer afternoons (mid-June through end of August) regularly hit 35°C. Morning tee times sell out at 07:00 and 07:30 because everyone wants to finish before the heat. The middle of the day — 11:00 to 14:00 — is genuinely uncomfortable for 18 holes.

Twilight skips the worst of it. A 16:30 start in July means you tee off as the sun is starting to drop. The first holes are warm, the middle of the round is pleasant, and the closing holes are played in soft evening light. The course is also significantly quieter — most resort traffic is heading to dinner.

What you should know before booking

Booking tip: If you are visiting Belek between June and August and you are flexible on course, set your search filter to "Twilight" only. You will see live availability across both Sueno courses and any other course running afternoon slots that day. Locks in summer at 4 PM are gone by Friday for the following week.

Bottom line

Twilight is not a discount tier or a half-round. It is a full 18-hole tee time, on the same championship course, at a lower price, in better weather, in better light. The trade-off is timing — you finish at dusk and you need to keep a respectable pace.

For a summer trip to Belek, that is not really a trade-off. It is the smart choice.
